Maternity clothes: Yes. I really don't want to buy anything else, but I think I need to invest in a few tank tops to wear now that it's getting warm on a regular basis and some khaki pants seeing as I've worn jeans to work the last 2 days.
Stretch marks: Just the few on my hips. Surprised there aren't any on my belly because it's getting really tight feeling.
Best moment this week: Feeling really accomplished with little C's room! Finally getting things done.
Movement: He's a mover and a shaker. I keep telling myself I'm going to have to hang upside down to try to get him to flip back to "in position." But every day it feels like he's poking somewhere new so maybe he still does have a lot of room in there...
Food cravings: Peanut butter maybe? I almost never eat apples, but I ate 3 this week... but mostly because I wanted something to dip in my peanut butter. Today, I brought the peanut butter jar straight from home. :)
Food aversions: Nothing.
Labor pains: I can't wear my wedding rings anymore. I've been wearing just my band on my hand for the past few weeks and the e-ring around my neck. But even just the one is too tight now. I'm afraid it'll get stuck on there, so they are both around my neck now.
Belly Button in or out? Starting to pull a disappearing act. It's still in but getting very flat.
What I miss: Have you ever tried jumping while pregnant? Don't. Not smart. I miss feeling strong. I feel like I have to depend on others (namely my husband) to get things done and I want to get up off my beached whale of an ass and do it myself! Also, miss not having to blow my nose every day 3-4 times a day. Not because of the sickness, but I still have the random nosebleeds and the air must be really dry in our room because I wake up for that too in the middle of the night.
What I am looking forward to: Our birth story... I guess just having one of our own. I know there is so much in the air until the time comes, but I'm excited to have our own experience to share with other people. There are SO MANY pregnant people in my life right now and I LOVE to hear about their different symptoms and feelings.
Dear baby boy,
Mommy is so proud of you and how you have been growing and experimenting all on your own in there. Yes, it's true I feel your every kick, punch, twist and hiccup! You and I have been having our little "conversations" every now and then and yes, it's okay that you are a true Adele fan. Mommy likes listening to her, too. :) I hope that you really do recognize my voice when you're here with us. We are working hard to get things ready for your arrival and all that comes with having a new little man living with us... even though technically, you and I have been living together for quite sometime now.
Keep practicing in there, little buddy. Pretty soon, it'll be time for the real deal.
xoxo
Love, your mommy <3
