Showers of Love for Caleb... #2

We were lucky enough to have another shower on February 25th in GA with our friends and lots of coworkers. This one was held at a local restaurant with traditional southern food... BBQ! Onion rings... mmm... Everything was adorable and the hostesses tried to theme everything according to what baby Caleb's nursery will (someday SOON I hope) look like.
Mandy and I. She graciously hosted the shower for us and I just LOVE the floating octopus thermometer her daugher Blair picked out for Caleb's bathtime.

Sweet Miss Allie Grace, her momma Natalie, and I. (Also, babies Caleb and Megan). I was so happy that their family could come and share this special occasion with us. She is actually going to be pretty close with our little man as she will be watching him during the day once he's here. He and Megan are sure to be best buds!
Adorable shower cake. Not sure if you can read it, but it says "There will be no monkeying around... Caleb is a Hitt!" lol
Cutting the cake with Hubby <3 Hopefully, I don't look too awful in these pictures... I'm fighting a mean head cold and cough. Bleh.
More bump pictures!! Me and Lindsey. Their little lion is due in August :)
Heather and little Miss Isla. Love this picture of them!
Time to open gifts. Look how excited he is about a stinky diaper pail! haha. Yes, honey. You will be sooo thankful for this in a few months.

Showers of Love for Caleb

My shower was on Sunday the 19th in NJ. So, I'm sorry the pictures are a little late. We had a brunch style affair at a local restaurant that was just amazing. The french toast (which I suppose I should add to my list of cravings) was delish! I paired it with some strawberrys, but there was tons of other food to be enjoyed as well; chicken, veggies, salads, pastries... So much goodness!

Here's a great shot of my hella-huge baby bump and my more-than-sexy sister pinning my Mommy-to-Be badges on. What an emotional roller coaster this day was. It was a huge milestone in my life that I seriously questioned if I'd ever have the privilege of receiving. And here it was... Without a doubt, a shower of so much love for my soon to be son. I'm so incredibly blessed.

Room

Room: Another book that was hard to get into and then once I did really get into it, it was hard to put down. Probably not the best choice to read while pregnant, but a good read. I gave it 5 stars on GoodReads and it's possible my perception is skewed because of the little one in my tummy.

32 weeks

How far along: 32 weeks

Maternity clothes: Yes.

Stretch marks: Nope

Sleep: Sucky. I'm averaging about 6 hours a night when I usually go to sleep at around 9:30/10 and wake up at 7. So, I guess it could be worse... I just hate waking up in the middle of the night with my mind racing and not being able to fall back asleep.

31 weeks

How far along: 31 weeks. Only 9 weeks left (or less!) I put a deposit down for newborn pictures this week. We chose to go with Erin's Attic. She recently did newborn pics for friends of ours who had twins. SO ADORABLE.

Maternity clothes: Yes.

Stretch marks: The few I saw last week seem to have vanished... I'm ok with that!

Sleep: Sucks in the 3rd trimester.

Best moment this week: Happy Valentine's Day to Mommy! <3 I got to hear my favorite sound in the world again today; Caleb's big and strong heartbeat! Coming in at 133 this week. And awesome news... Dr. says his head is down now! Don't worry I'm still pushing for that final ultrasound just to make sure.

30 weeks

How far along: 30 weeks - next week we're down to the single digits!

Maternity clothes: All day, every day.

Stretch marks: Have arrived. I have a few on my right hip so far :( Still trying to keep them relatively at bay with the lotion... but I guess it's inevitable.

Sleep: On and off. I'm feeling pretty sore and moany groany these days. If I have to roll over, I have to sit all the way up and rearrange my pillows again to get comfortable. My hips pop all the time and my back is definitely feeling the added pressure of carrying this tummy. I stayed home from work on Monday because of the back pain. I'm wondering if the little guy may be turned inside now and pressing his noggin into my back instead of out my tummy like he usually is...

29 weeks

How far along: 29 weeks - And my little hide-away-monster <3

Maternity clothes: Yes.

Stretch marks: Just really veiny and pasty pale. Would it be okay for me to go tanning once or twice before my shower so I don't look like a ghost in pictures? Don't answer that... I know the answer. :(

Sleep: It's really unfair that bad sleep starts during pregnancy. It is SO hard to find a comfortable position and just when I think I'm falling asleep ::poke poke:: it's playtime in my belly.
